If you're not sure what we mean by the game "Telephone", it's the party game where you whisper something in someone's ear, then they whisper it in someone else's ear, and so on. The message gets changed over time. If you're playing this game at a party, it probably means it's a pretty lame party. If you turned on the Closed Captions, you may notice that the transcript is significantly different from what we ended up with for each round. That's because each time a video is uploaded, the computer listens to the audio and interprets it fresh. So, even if you upload essentially the same audio, if one small thing changes in your video, the transcript will change, sometimes a lot. It's just a phenomenon associated with the technology. Our scripts from rounds 2 & 3 came from the actual transcripts that were generated when we uploaded those videos. Make sense? YouTube has now released the ability to view closed captions on any video, even if they did not upload a transcript. This software is based on Google's speech recognition technologies. It appears that the closed captions take either several minutes to appear after that video has been uploaded onto YouTube. Probably the most elaborate prank of its kind ever, it was a huge hit on ° VRT (Belgium) television January 10, 2011. To share it with the rest of the world, English subtitles were a must. Enjoy! To see the captions, click on the YouTube text bubble. Mathieu, the security guard, became a folk hero overnight for his friendly demeanor. Program link: www.een.be Original clip: www.youtube.com Mobistar commented after the broadcast that their call center problems had been temporary, and that more people had since been hired to shorten wait times. The music choice is brilliant as well: Background: "Green Leaves of Summer" from John Wayne's 1960 epic "The Alamo", and also used in "Inglorious Basterds". 'On hold' song: "Hello, is it me you're looking for?" by Lionel Richie. Update: The Basta guys are unstoppable. On Jan 17, they unveiled a 6 month undercover operation on the producers of nightly call-in "quizzes". This demonstrated what everybody suspected for years, ie that they are a scam. The authorities weren't able (or willing) to ban them. The day after Basta's broadcast , the games were cancelled. On Jan 24, they went after SABAM, a Belgian artists rights and copyright collective. ****READ 1ST **** I know that i put the close captions and after about 15 people YES i been counting my dear friends but a little bio. about me. *** I'm Hard of Hearing going DEAF( To let yah all know, It took me about 15 times to hear this audio 15 TIMES!!! to get all the words, I was so exited i wanted to just put it up. and for all my Deaf friends to see it, those who couldn't have a family member to interpreted for them. I know i and i said this about 15 times i could have looked it up on the book, but i was just so exited after seen the movie i wanted to put it right away. So everyone can see. So please I know i made some mistakes on the spelling.. but you don't have to hear it in every comment it driving me crazy!! And i would love to thank those that understand and are very happy about me putting this up :) **I DONT OWN NOTHING** Here is Snape and Lily Pensieve scene with Close Caption. I try my best with the close caption but enjoy. **Snape memories just made me cry, Alan Rickman did a AWESOME JOB!!!
