This is a 10x time lapse of the magnificent Grand Island-Aurora, Nebraska supercell and tornadoes, as filmed by storm chasers Dick McGowan and Darin Brunin on June 17, 2009. The tornado was rated an EF-2 by the National Weather Service in Hastings, NE; there were no serious injuries reported. All video is copyrighted by TornadoLive.Com. All Rights Reserved. | Magic Rocks Time Lapse Photography |

This time lapse photography shows the growth of Magic Rocks, which are metal salts that resemble small rocks that grow into dainty towers when placed in a sodium silicate solution. A photo was taken once a minute for 12 hours. Warmer water produces quick-growing thin shapes, but may also result in bubbles forming on the container. Cooler solution produces thicker, slow growing forms. Magic Rocks are readily available in stores, but you can make your own. Visit me at chemistry.about.com to learn how!

Hi Everyone, We recently returned from California filming some new material for our future DVDs and I thought I would share some of the time lapse sequences that I captured from LA and the desert at Joshua Tree National Park.
