On a warm spring day, an Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat microlight full-sized aircraft dropped in to Tokoroa airfield. The A22 has clear sides and is this a "see-through" plane. Powered by a 100hp Rotax engine, this craft will cruise at over 60knots, has a maximum speed of 100knots and a 6 hour endurance. The other (twin engined) airplane in this video is a Dymond Twinstar. This is Craig's Impulse microlight (that's ultralight in the USA) composite full-sized airplane. It's fast and it's pretty and it's cheap to run. This was filmed when Craig dropped in to the Tokoroa Airfield to see who wasy flying their RC model planes. He's is also an RC model flier. Who wouldn't want one of these? The MicroMoth is a homebuilt microlight aircraft built in 1991 by Bjørn Furuheim. The microlight is self designed and homebuilt. Key features are very good manouverability and moderate cruise perfomance. This video shows the first flight away from the frozen lake.
